Cops for Kids

The holiday season is quickly approaching and plans are being made for the 25th Annual Cops for Kids event.  As an outreach to our community Crime Stoppers and the Albuquerque Police Department are proud to sponsor underprivileged children to participate in this one-day event. Children are nominated through APS Title 1 Homeless Project and Law Enforcement to spend a day with an officer.

The day’s event will begin on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North, where Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive to greet the children. After breakfast, a caravan with lights and sirens proceeds to Walmart. Each child is given a $100 gift card to shop. After shopping, the children will be caravanned to Explora Science Center and Children’s Museum, where they will be treated to lunch and full access to the museum.

This has always been a successful event because of the officer involvement and volunteers who have donated their time to give back to their community.

With every small donation Crime Stoppers and your local law enforcement can help to brighten up a child’s holiday season. Please consider making a small donation today.
